Jesus once said,
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.”
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Inspired by the scriptural aspect of blogger Anakin Niceguy, the writer behind Scripturally Single and Biblical Manhood, I seek to be a shining light in this dark world.
My qualifications are few. My experiences are limited. But the need is great and the suffering real. I am a flawed man living in a flawed world. A world where we face injustice, cruelty, and suffering. I can’t change the world. But I can offer the message that through Jesus, we can overcome the world. (1 John 5:4-5.)
I offer to you not a religion. I offer to you not a church. For I know that these have failed us. I offer to you a choice. For those who are told they are worthless, it is a choice to believe you are valued. For those who are oppressed, it is a choice to be free. It is a choice to not live this life in despair but in hope. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:17.)
